Hello again…. Joanne here, talking today about your perfect dress.
Lately we have girls coming in for a dress they saw somewhere on the internet.
A lot of times, these dresses are old outdated, knockoff dresses and Pinterest one-of-a-kind dresses.
This makes it almost impossible to find. When you make an appointment with a dress
boutique. Please email your photos directly to them. Let them tell you if they have anything
like, what you are expecting. I had a Bride come into our store for an appointment. She stated she only wanted
a long, tight, satin sleeved-all satin ballgown. Immediately I knew there was no such dress.
Be open minded. Your best success is trying all options! Even what you think is a no-could be the one!
Try on everything your Bridal or Prom consultant brings you. They are trained in their skill and can make your dream dress a reality.
Bring only 1 or 2 people. More opinions, (some downright mean) are sometimes not what you want on YOUR special day. You can always ZOOM when you are ready to say yes.
Make your day a happy one. Go in a good mood. Coming in after a big fight with you BFF is going to disrupt your day. You will not like anything if your already upset.
Check to see if store allows Champagne etc. A lot of stores only allow these kinds of requests pre-approved.
Don’t come into your appointment food or drinks with our clearing with management first. Most do not allow this!! Coffee a big No no around expensive dresses!!
Allow your store to be part of your Videos and Pictures! You will have a better remembrance of the day!!
We hope you choose us to help on your special day!! We cannot wait!
Jewelry and accessories are the finishing touches that can complete a look and bring it all together. Use big, sparkling accessories to spice up a simple dress, or accessorize with some dainty jewelry pieces to compliment a bedazzled, sparkly dress. Lots of sparkle is great for pageants to make you stand out on stage, or to make you pop on screen for a virtual prom. Simple silver and gold jewelry is great for weddings to bring the focus to your dress. This year there are several jewelry trends that can make your look pop. A hanging chain necklace is in trend and would add dimension to any outfit.
Drop Earrings
Drop earrings are a great alternative to studs or hoops. The drop element of these earrings adds beautiful sparkle and frames the face. They can be found in neutral colors or in bold, bright colors that can compliment your dress. These beauties are perfect for pageants. They sparkle with swarvorski crystals and draw attention to your face.
Statement Earrings
Statement earrings can spice up a simple look and bring attention to your face. Perfect for those virtual celebrations where most of the focus is on your face. They can also be an excellent way to add more sparkle to your look. Perfect for any special occasion.
Statement Bracelet
If your dress had a higher neckline with lots of sparkle, a statement cuff is another way to accessorize and add the finishing touch to your look. Perfect for proms, homecoming, or your next big special celebration.
Layered Necklaces One necklace is great, but necklaces with multiple layers are becoming more popular. These add more dimension to a look and are a great opportunity to incorporate sparkle and color. Consider a layered necklace for your next black-tie event or formal celebration. Statement rings and ring sets are the popular styles this year. Perfect to add a little more sparkle to a bedazzled look or finishing up a simple dress. Accessorize with rings for your formal events or special celebrations.
Weddings are an amazing opportunity to create the party of your dreams. All of the elements that go into a wedding can be personalized to your specific style and taste as a couple and celebrate the beginning of your new life together. Looking forward to the Fall wedding season, there are many new trends popping up that can elevate your wedding style.
Bigger is Better
There has been a shift from sleek, slip gowns to more bold wedding gowns. Big ball gown skirts, statement sleeves, embellishments and lace can be found on many of the latest wedding dresses. Overskirt dresses are another popular style that can create an interesting asymmetrical look. These bigger and bolder gowns represent new beginnings and hopeful opportunity for a new decade. These Mori Lee and Allure gowns are just some of the unique bridal options from Dejavu Boutique that showcase the trending big skirts, lace, and embellishments.
Pops of color
Make your wedding pop by adding color to elements like glassware, décor, and accessories. Fall is a great time to incorporate earthy undertones in a color palette. Combine these earthy undertones with purples, pinks, and yellows to further develop your wedding color scheme and make it pop. Other popular colors for the wedding season include neo mint and cassis. Consider using these colors in your florals, bridesmaid dresses, centerpieces, or accessories.
Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize!
Veils are here to stay, but barrettes and combs are becoming popular options to either replace the veil or change up your hairstyle for the reception. These accessories are also great opportunities to add a pop of color or some sparkle to your look.
Costume Changes
Another trend that is becoming popular is several outfit changes throughout your wedding day or night. With multiple looks you can tell a story of your journey or explore different silhouettes and colors. It is important that the outfit changes are planned to ensure they do not take away too much time from the other events of your wedding. Also make sure to coordinate the other elements of your look including hair, makeup, and accessories. Consider changing into a short dress for the reception that is great for dancing, or if you have a big dress for the ceremony consider a sleeker gown that is easier to move around and greet guests in.
Ultimate Engagement Photos
Engagement photos are not a new trend, but there has been a shift from the relaxed styling to a more formal appearance. Consider upgrading a simple maxi dress to a more formal gown. Interesting locations are another element of these photo shoots that elevate them above the usual engagement photos. These upscale photo shoots can be a great opportunity to show off your style or incorporate elements that do not fit with the wedding aesthetic. This can also be another opportunity to add a pop of color to your wedding wardrobe or reuse the formal gown from the photo shoot for an outfit change during the wedding festivities.
Creative Seating Arrangements
Instead of having guests rigidly separated by table groupings, creative table designs create a communal dining experience for the couple and their guests. Circular tables can be pushed together to create fun designs or long tables can be connected into a winding design around the reception area. Guests will meet more people and it will truly be a blend of the families and friends.
Statement Lighting
Lighting can really set the mood of your wedding. It can also be a great way to incorporate your color scheme. Consider some accent lights with color to change up the classic up lighting seen at many weddings. Color-blocked lighting is another method of using lighting as décor rather than for its function. Different colors can transition your guests through the different wedding moments like ceremony lighting, cocktail hour lighting, and reception lighting.
Colors of the Season: What is hot and trending right now?
Before finding the perfect dress for your special occasion, it can help to think of the color or style that appeals to you. Right now, some of the most popular styles include short, cocktail dresses for formal weddings or bachelorette parties, and long dresses that are perfect for pageants and proms. Spring and Summer are all about bright, warm colors. Fall and Winter bring darker, rich tones to the color palette. Popular colors for the current season range from pastel pinks, blues, greens, and yellows to vibrant purples, oranges, pinks, and reds. Within this color range there are 5 colors that stand out.
The first color that is hot right now is a vibrant red/orange that screams summer. This Clarisse Homecoming dress is the perfect dress for a virtual celebration or socially distanced formal outdoor wedding.
The second hot color is a pastel mint green that emulates those sweet, spring vibes. This Ashley Lauren dress is perfect for a virtual prom or will shine on stage at a future pageant.
Third on the list of current top colors is a classic navy-blue that never goes out of style. Another great option for a party or outdoor wedding is this Sherri Hill dress with beautiful detailing around the neck and shoulders. This dress is a steal too!! Just $49.00
Fourth in the top 5 colors is a bright lime green/yellow color that stands out in any crowd. This pop of color is the perfect way to stand out on screen for a virtual prom.
Finally, the last color is a neutral brown with a hint of orange that is perfect for a simple look or animal print moment. This bedazzled moment is a great look for a bachelorette party, online celebration, or summer outdoor wedding.
There is a color for everyone that will be the flawless fit for any occasion. Deja vu Boutique is the perfect place to find all of these on trend colors and more!

Finally, it’s here… your special day. Our question for you is what do you see yourself wearing on your magical day?
Of course it is going to be a day to remember forever. So, do you go traditional or completely different or maybe a mix of both? It’s your choice!
Here we have top wedding destination venues with phenomenal bridal wear to match
1.) An Escape to the Beach
When planning a wedding on the beach many questions can arise…
Do we invite a lot of friends and family? Should we rent a carpet to walk on? Do I just look at gowns with small trains or do I consider altering the gown to just brush the sand? Wait, do people wear shoes?
We can (hopefully) help solve a few of those concerns regarding the dress. We suggest a sheath dress which is fitted and straight cut. Why? Because nothing could be more uncomfortable than a ballgown full of sand. Also being on the beach, you may want to expect a breeze, therefore in a sheath dress there’s no need to worry about a fashion mishap.
Looking for that one of a kind electric wedding? If so, we think you should consider the fabulous Las Vegas!
When searching for your wedding attire, it’s an excellent idea to keep in mind what you plan to do after the “I do’s”.

The word quinceañera is derived from two Spanish words, “quince” (fifteen) and “años” (years). Being that a Quinceañera is a celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday, we understand the significance behind the once in a lifetime event. This unforgettable celebration in the life of a female teenager began all the way back to 500 B.C. and the Aztecs! It’s truly fascinating.
